You can slice the loaf of French bread into half along its length.

    Position the rack in the oven and then preheat it to 425°F. Take the bread and place it with its cut side facing up. You can use a rimmed baking sheet. Bake the bread for five minutes. Bring the bread out and rub the cut sides with the garlic. Take the tomato sauce and spread it on the cut sides of the French bread. Top it up with pepperoni, mozzarella and red pepper flakes.

   Bake it till the cheese melts and turns golden brown. This should take about ten minutes. Top the pizza with basil.
